Thad – The summer so far…

Well I thought I’d just do a quick update on here to let you all know that I’m not dead, but also to give you a different/better perspective of what’s been happening recently than what Tom has been telling you. (He also cornered me last night, threatening me with physical harm if I didn’t write something on here…honest I really want out of this band – I can’t think of anything worse to be in right now…especially over a recession!)

Anyway – HardRock Calling, me, Tom and Jamie were all there….were you?! (Oh what’s that Smokes?…”No”… FAIL) Mind you, we had a better time without him (probably), and besides, it was good to see him the next day up at Camden Market – where obviously plenty of narcotic drugs were inhaled. The TV interview/gig was wicked fun! So thanks to all who were involved in that.

Also, the acoustic tig which Gom advertised yesterday in his blog, I played a little bit of Cajon in (pronounced ‘Ka-Hon’), and was a great laugh. I would like to also mention Tom Attah – the Blues singer who was supporting us, and with whom I jammed for his last two pieces. Sandinista’s a great little venue, and thankfully the storm outside seemed to bring people in, rather than turn them away…so all in all, a good even’!

Right, well something else hopefully beckons – so I’ll leave you with the grim news that I’m set to join Tom on the last week of his acoustic Tour with Nigel Passey. So for those of you that only come and watch us to admire my astounding natural physique – get on down when we’re in your town!
